Small businesses contribute a high percentage to the economy of District 3. Food trucks, restaurants, and other small retail businesses should be made to feel that they are just as important to our community as all the large chain retail and restaurant options available in our District. I will focus on ways to impose tax breaks and resources that will help small businesses thrive in District 3. Limiting the amount of permits along with rising charges that are required before a person can open a small business often hinders aspiring entrepreneurs’ dreams from being attainable. District 3 is open to new business and can be known as land of opportunity.
